Our Coaching Philosophy
At Trails and Tarmac we focus on understanding our runners. In coaching a sport we love we are committed to learning about your athletic history, life demands, and ultimately your performance goals. Knowing you allows us to create customized and adaptive science-based training for now and in the long run. The key to long term success is consistency. Many of us have a tendency to train hard whenever we feel good, leaving the tank empty when it is time for our key training sessions, and major races. With Trails and Tarmac you will have far more than a training plan. Communication and accountability form the bedrock of every coach-athlete relationship. Signing on with Trails and Tarmac provides a comprehensive training program along with access to your coach via text, emails, and phone calls. Whether you live in Belgium, Belarus, Argentina, or the United States, we are excited to work with you. It’s gonna feel good when you do something you didn’t know you could do.
Coaching Nuts and Bolts
Getting started with Trails and Tarmac is fairly simple. After gathering some preliminary info about you and your running history we will have a phone conversation to begin the process. Together we will develop a dynamic and detailed plan to make you stronger, more efficient, and ultimately faster. It’s always on you to get out of bed in the morning and do the work, but we will be there every step of the way to guide your training.
What You Get $225/Monthly
-Access to your coach via: -Text -Email -Appointment based phone calls -Adaptive short and long term training plan with detailed GPS analysis. But we like to think of ourselves as more than just your coach. We are your running concierge.

Not sure you want to commit to full time coaching but need some insight?
Training Analysis and Phone Consult $95
Includes: Pre phone call athletic history and training analysis. We use the information you provide us so we can better utilize our time on the phone. Also included is one 60 minute phone call to teach training principles, go over work out and racing plans, talk about performance nutrition, adventure plans, and anything else we can help you with.
